Eleven game modes
Every game is about fifteen minutes from walk-in to walk-out, with around nine minutes in the arena. The front desk will help a first-timer pick. Free For All and Team Battle are the easy starts.
Elimination, solo or team
Use your lives sparingly. Once you are out, you are out. Last player or last team standing wins.
Capture the Flag
Blast the other team's base to grab the flag, then carry it back to yours to score.
Commander
Protect your leader. The commander is worth more points and scores more points.
Assault
Capture the Flag in reverse. Take the bomb from your base and plant it in the opponents' base.
Base Flags
Tagging players is fun, but it will not score in this mode. Bases only.
Survivor
Start with a limited number of lives and steal more from your opponents.
Time Warrior
The clock is ticking. When your time runs out, so do you, so steal time from your enemies.
Vampire
Sometimes called Infection. The vampire starts alone and has to turn every other player into spawn.
Rift Insanity
Your team will change mid-game. So will your friends' and your foes'.
Midnight Madness
Who turned out the lights? Make sure you do not tag your own teammates.
Plan your visit
Reserve a time online, or walk in any day the center is open, sign up and pay at the front desk, and the next available game is yours. Groups of six or more should book ahead so the desk can line up a slot. Wear sneakers; the arena is dark and the floor is uneven by design. Phasers and vests are provided.
The specials follow the week. Mondays and Wednesdays are the 3-Game Special at $23 a person. Tuesday is Laser Tag Happy Hour at $5.50 a game. Thursday is Unlimited Laser Tag at $25 a person for as many games as you can fit in. Friday through Sunday is the standard $11 game. Specials are walk-in only and cannot be reserved.
Bowling, the arcade and Big Ed's Tap House share the building, so a laser tag visit can start on the lanes and end with dinner. Free parking out front, right off Route 46.
